Dear Eileen
It has taken me a little while to let you know how the viewing of your inspirational DVD "Gifts from the Mountain" provided us with a wonderful way to share the many mountains the Kopanang women have climbed in their lives, the wild onions they happened upon, the sharing of a load too heavy for one to bear, the worry and anxiety of overwhelming problems that sometimes overtook them before they happened, the courage they elicited for their journey, the heartache that nearly crippled them, the deaths and losses along the way, yet the incredible joy that persists in the centre of it all, knowing others care enough to sustain them and break bread with them.
We prayed the questions that you prepared in your book, and that we borrowed for our opening session. We identified the specific questions that caught our heart's attention in the list as we prayed them, and the stories abounded. It was powerful beyond words. We contextualised soul-heart and travel journeys to speak to their own situation. We took more than an hour to process this as a preparation to viewing. So, when we then went on to listen to your heart's life-wisdom in "Gifts from the Mountain", we were ready to drink deeply, linking to that vast ocean of connectedness that makes us whole. Never mind that we are a few continents apart!
So thank you. We will view it again. And again. And continue outpouring our stories.
So may you too now be blessed, knowing you have touched our lives.
With love
Sheila

“Gifts from the Mountain is a clear and concise DVD presentation that positions powerful principles to evoke individual reflection and group consideration. The Heart and Stroke Foundation used the DVD and supporting materials during professional development days for all staff. We experienced authentic conversation that engaged every person from entry level employees through senior leadership.
The result is heightened awareness of how we are ‘being’ together as we are ‘doing’ our work and a renewed commitment to our culture and values.
Thank you!”
